The Facilities Assistant at Theatre Puget Sound supports Space4Arts in the Armory Building at Seattle Center, handling bookings, keeping spaces rental-ready, and manning the on-call line for renters and resident companies.

You will work with the Production Manager to maintain spaces, support events like Stage Workers Week and the Gregory Awards Ceremony, and serve as the frontline contact for hourly renters and TPS partners, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Approve and manage bookings for rehearsal spaces through the TPS website.
  • Serve as the primary on-call contact — answering the Space4Arts phone line and responding to renter needs, including evenings and weekends, with the ability to return in person within the hour for substantial issues during pre-scheduled on-call hours.
  • Keep spaces rental-ready: weekly cleanings, restroom supplies, accurate signage, and key-code updates.
  • Handle day-to-day lock and access management, including lockbox upkeep and rekeying support.
  • Administer TPS's Adopt-A-Space and site-wide points programs day to day.
  • Support TPS's signature events and programming — Stage Workers Week, and the Gregory Awards Ceremony, workshops, and co-productions with performing arts partners.
  • Serve as the go-to point of contact for hourly renters and the wider TPS community.
  • Flag facilities or rental issues to the Production Manager when they need a second set of eyes.

The Facilities Assistant is the day-to-day, on-the-ground presence for Space4Arts, TPS’s 25,000-square-foot rental and performance space program at the Armory Building in Seattle Center. You’ll manage bookings, keep spaces rental-ready, and carry the on-call phone line rotation that keeps renters and resident companies supported. You’ll work alongside the Production Manager, who will partner with you on taking care of our spaces.
