Viltis is seeking a Drug Manufacturing Technician to support a toxicology laboratory in Gretna, Louisiana.

The role involves handling presumptive-positive specimens and preparing aliquots for confirmation testing in line with regulatory guidelines.

You'll work in a fast-paced, regulated environment, following established SOPs with careful attention to detail and documentation. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers potential for permanent hire based on performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow laboratory techniques, procedures and SOPs.
• Ability to accurately follow detailed instructions and documentation requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) is beneficial.
• Knowledge of SAMHSA, CAP-FUDT, or other regulated laboratory requirements is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Remove presumptive-positive specimens and aliquot samples for confirmation testing.
• Arrange and organize aliquots according to established laboratory procedures.
• Store positive specimens in designated refrigerator and freezer areas.
• Retrieve frozen specimens when re-aliquoting is required.
• Receive and open specimens delivered to the laboratory for analysis.
• Review specimens and chain-of-custody documentation for completeness and acceptability.
• Document specimen information accurately.
• Destroy specimens when required according to established procedures.
• Clean and maintain the work area daily.
• Follow laboratory security procedures and maintain confidentiality of donor information.
• Comply with company policies, SOPs, and applicable regulatory requirements.
