Viltis is seeking a Chemist I to join our client’s analytical toxicology lab in Pomona, CA. This six-month contract role focuses on hands-on analytical testing, sample preparation, and data review using LC-MS/MS in a regulated lab setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Toxicology or related field.
• 0-2 years of analytical laboratory experience.
• Basic understanding of chromatographic and mass spectrometry techniques.
• Strong pipetting skills with microliter volumes.
• Experience preparing standards, reagents, controls and dilutions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine sample preparation, extraction, and sample processing.
• Conduct analytical testing using LC-MS/MS instrumentation.
• Prepare reagents, standards, controls, calibration solutions, and sample dilutions.
• Perform accurate and precise pipetting, including microliter volumes.
• Execute analytical methods according to procedures and lab requirements.
• Review analytical data for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain laboratory records, notebooks and electronic documentation.
• Assist with instrument maintenance, troubleshooting and performance checks.
• Support quality management systems and regulatory compliance.
