Job summary

Labcorp in Raritan, NJ is seeking a Technologist to join our team. The role involves performing routine and complex testing, operating instrumentation, and ensuring quality patient care under SOPs. Night shift schedule: Monday - Friday 11:00 pm - 7:30 am.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in a chemical or biological science (or MLS) and have 1 year of lab testing experience. ASCP or AMT certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology
• 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience OR an MLS degree
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a high-volume lab

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care
• Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
