Job summary

Labcorp in Raritan, NJ is seeking a Technologist to join our clinical laboratory team. The role performs routine and complex procedures, monitors instrumentation, and ensures accurate test results to support patient care. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a chemical/biological science or MLS; plus 1 year of lab testing experience, or an MLS degree.

ASCP/AMT certification is preferred. We offer comprehensive benefits and competitive pay.

Qualifications

Proficiency with computers and laboratory information systems is preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria
Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs
Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality
Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving
Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls
Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care
Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures
Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary
Assist with processing of specimens when needed
Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate PPE
