Aimbridge Hospitality’s TownePlace Suites Auburn University Area in Auburn, AL is seeking an Assistant General Manager (OEM). You’ll oversee multiple departments, drive profitability, and ensure guest satisfaction while the GM is away.

The role requires supervisory hotel experience and a related degree path. You’ll lead staff development, control costs, and maintain our high standard of hospitality through coaching and clear communication.

Qualifications

• Five+ years progressive hotel experience or a 4-year degree with 2-3 years or a 2-year degree with 3-4 years of related experience.
• Supervisory background required.
• Ability to stay calm and objective under pressure.
• Must hold or obtain certifications such as Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, CPR, and First Aid.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple departments and drive hotel profitability by skillfully managing teams and partnering with the General Manager to keep everything running smoothly.
• Proactively spot challenges and tackle them head-on to ensure every day at the hotel flows as efficiently as possible.
• Play a key role in recruiting, hiring, and training Guest Services staff, and help all team members grow through development programs and ongoing training.
• Listen actively, understand concerns, and keep lines of communication crystal clear with colleagues and guests.
• Confidently work with financial information and data to support hotel operations.
• Make Windows OS your friend for smooth management and insightful reporting.
• Set the standard for professional appearance and grooming to meet company guidelines.
• Bring a friendly, service-focused attitude to every guest and teammate interaction.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• At least five years of progressive hotel experience (Rooms or Food & Beverage), or a four-year degree with 2-3 years, or a two-year degree with 3-4 years of related experience.
