Job summary

Town of Kernersville (NC) is seeking a qualified Engineering Services Director to oversee town-wide engineering functions, capital projects, and related regulatory compliance. The role coordinates with Town Departments, NCDOT, and external agencies to ensure high-quality public infrastructure projects.

The successful candidate will supervise staff, manage consultant engagements, and drive budget planning and CIP initiatives within the Public Services Department, reporting to the Public Services

Qualifications

• B.S. Civil Engineering or Construction Management and six years of progressive responsibility, including supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee engineering services, coordinating with Town Departments and external agencies.
• Manage capital projects and grant-funded projects.
• Oversee plan review, site inspections, and construction inspections for Town projects.
• Supervise staff and coordinate with private engineering consultants.
• Prepare reports and maintain records for CIP and department administration.
