Job summary

Town of Harrisburg, NC is seeking an engineering project manager to lead the division’s capital projects, coordinate consultants and contractors, and supervise construction inspection personnel to ensure infrastructure is built to approved plans and standards.

The role reports to the Deputy Town Engineer, with responsibilities for field activities, documentation review, and driving project delivery on time and within budget, while maintaining excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field and substantial experience in engineering, construction administration, inspection, or project management.
• Engineer Intern, Project Management Professional, or construction-related certifications are preferred.
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s License required.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital projects within the Engineering Division and coordinate consultant and contractor work.
• Oversee construction inspection, review documentation, and ensure compliance with plans and standards.
• Supervise inspection staff and coordinate field activities and performance management.
