Job summary

State of North Carolina - Department of Transportation is seeking an Engineering Supervisor III to lead highway engineering initiatives in Stanly County. The role supervises engineers, technicians and clerical staff, manages construction and contract administration, and provides technical guidance on complex projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
May require registration as a professional engineer by NC Board of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors.
Experience supervising engineers, technicians, and clerical staff.

Responsibilities

Act as District Engineer for Stanly County and oversee highway engineering projects.
Manage construction and contract administration for Division and district projects.
Supervise engineers and staff and provide technical guidance on engineering problems.
Review plans for subdivisions, encroachments, and permits and coordinate with municipalities.
