MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Tower Technician II to install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecom systems. You will work in a safety-minded environment and mentor newer technicians while supporting high-quality service to customers and communities.

Responsibilities include climbing towers, offloading materials, preparing sites, installing carriers, and assisting in tower erection with helicopters, cranes, and gin poles.

Qualifications

• Track record of delivering high-quality work.
• Knack for solving hard problems with a hands-on approach.
• Looking for long-term projects.
• Enjoy getting hands dirty with the team.
• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum 2 years of tower experience.
• Able to read and follow printed instructions.
• Knowledge of safety standards/regulations.
• NWSA certification a plus.
• Must climb towers, lift 50 lbs, and work up to 12 hours.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record per policy.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecom equipment and systems.
• Climb towers and ladders at various heights.
• Offload material and inventory; prepare and clean sites.
• Install carriers on new builds and existing towers.
• Assist in tower erection using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles.
• Mentor less experienced technicians; complete other duties as assigned.
