Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Tower Technician II to install, maintain, and operate telecom equipment on towers. You will climb towers, install carriers, and help prepare sites for new builds and existing structures.

The role requires at least 2 years of tower experience, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to read and follow detailed instructions. A valid driver’s license and NWSA certification are beneficial for advancement and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Safety is a part of your day-to-day.
• You have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
• Able to read, comprehend, and carry out instructions as printed.
• Minimum of 2 years of tower experience.
• Possession of an NWSA certification is a plus.
• Must be able to climb towers, lift up to 50 lbs, and work up to 12 hours.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and operate telecom equipment on towers.
• Climb towers and install carriers on new and existing towers.
• Offload materials and inventory; prepare and clean sites.
• Mentor new technicians and assist in tower erection.
• Assist in antenna installations and transmission lines where applicable.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
