Job summary

ADB Companies is seeking a field technician to decommission towers, test RF/fiber, and install coax and antennas. This role requires climbing towers, rigging, and working with high safety standards across nationwide sites.

The candidate should have 4+ years in Wireless Technologies, OSHA-10/CPR preferred, and a clean driving record. This is a non-exempt, full-time position with extensive travel and on-site work across locations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Wireless Technologies.
• First Aid / CPR certification preferred.
• OSHA10 certification preferred.
• Valid driver license with clean record.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Decommission a tower and tower equipment safely and efficiently.
• Properly PIM test, RF Sweep test and Fiber test as requested from the top of the tower.
• Install and route coax, hybrid trunks, and all jumpers.
• Rig a tower in a Class IV rigging scenario and hang booms, mounts, antennas, and equipment.
• Layout and install an Ice Bridge and perform proper cad welds.
• Build out a tower platform on the ground and install on the tower with exposure to a cathead.
• Route and secure hybrid cables and hybrid jumpers.
• Fabricate steel in the field and on the tower.
• Wire in Raycaps and install Flash Technology lighting controllers.
• Troubleshoot fiber, power and RF issues using PIM/Sweep gear.
• Take Pre-Construction and Closeout photos.
• Rig a tower in a Class III rigging scenario.
• Install microwave dishes, antennas, RRUs and other wireless equipment.
• Learn from experienced Technicians and foreman via CAM career path.
• Climb and work on communications towers for installing, replacing, repairing antenna systems; work under supervision.
• Use hand tools and equipment safely; recognize hazards of tower climbing and energized lines.
• Climb tall structures (100 feet+) with 50 lb load and perform other duties as required.
