Job summary

MasTec Communications Group is seeking a Tower Technician II to install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic, and microwave telecommunications equipment on towers and sites. You will climb towers to install carriers, assist in tower erections, and mentor junior techs while upholding safety standards and completing tasks on schedule.

Qualifications

• Safety is a part of your day-to-day.
• Track record of completing work with a high level of quality.
• Hands-on problem solver who enjoys practical work.
• Looking for long-term projects.
• Enjoy getting hands dirty with your team.
• Minimum of 2 years of tower experience.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and carry out printed instructions.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
• NWSA TTT1 certification is required.
• Ability to climb towers, lift up to 50 lbs, and work up to 12 hours.
• Valid driver's license and driving record meeting company policy.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and operate telecom equipment on towers and sites.
• Climb towers and ladders at various heights.
• Assist in tower erection using helicopters, cranes, and gin poles.
• Prepare and clean sites; offload material.
• Mentor new technicians and support team collaboration.
