Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC (5 Star) seeks an entry-level Level I Technician, Tower, to learn safe climbing on wireless structures under supervision. You will install microwave dishes, antennas, RRUs and related equipment while gaining skills from seasoned technicians and foremen.

Requirements include OSHA 10 and a willingness to perform heavy manual labor in varying weather, with long tower climbs and safety procedures emphasized.

Qualifications

• OSHA 10 Certification required.
• First Aid/CPR Certification preferred.
• One or more years of experience in construction or wireless industry.

Responsibilities

• Install microwave dishes, antennas, RRUs and other wireless equipment on the tower.
• Learn from experienced technicians and foreman via CAM Career Advancement Matrix.
• Climb and work on towers to install, replace and repair antenna systems; perform tower maintenance under supervision.
• Handle basic hand tools and mechanical equipment safely.
• Be aware of hazards of tower climbing and energized lines and equipment.
• Climb tall structures (100 feet+) with 50 lb loads.
• Analyze situations and choose appropriate actions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
