Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Towed Systems IMA technician to support the TS IMA team in St. Marys, GA. You will inspect, test, troubleshoot, assemble, and install towed array modules, working pier side and in warehouses, with travel as needed.

Responsibilities include diagnosing electronic/electrical equipment, handling tools and test gear, and maintaining security clearances. Overtime and surge travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited technical institute or apprentice program in electronics above the high school level or completion of a military electronics course equivalent to US Navy C school and at least two years experience.
• Experience using electronic test equipment and operation of hand held power tools.
• Must obtain a minimum of an interim Secret prior to commencement of employment.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to lift 40lbs without assistance.
• Must complete a background check and physical to operate company truck.
• Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain a US Secret Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct towed array module physical inspection, electrical testing, troubleshooting, and array assembly.
• Ship board installation and removal of towed bodies while working pier side, in all weather conditions or in a warehouse.
• Travel overseas and within CONUS on short notice may be required.
• Overtime may be required to meet US Navy operational schedules and surge work.
• Interact with Navy, Government and civilian support contractors; qualify as a Towed Systems IMA technician.
