ASRC Federal Data Networks Inc seeks an Engineering Technician II to support NATSC at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport Division in Newport, RI. You will perform standardized assignments involving assembly, testing, and data extraction for towed array systems, following prescribed methods and receiving guidance on unfamiliar tasks.

Responsibilities include repairing module assemblies, manufacturing hose and tow cables, conducting tests, and assisting in design modifications.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED; 0–1 year experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance.
• Proficiency with standard computer operations and Microsoft Office.
• Soldering and/or fiber-optic certification/training.
• Experience with hose fabrication and testing equipment.
• Manufacturing experience with hose assemblies and tow cables.

Responsabilidades

• Be a key player in the repair and production of towed array systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair module assemblies to the component level.
• Manufacture hose and tow cables with high-quality standards.
• Work independently on standardized assignments with guidance when needed.
• Construct components or simple models using standard equipment.
• Conduct tests and experiments and modify test setups as needed.
• Extract and process engineering data and correct inconsistencies.
• Assist design modifications by compiling data on specifications and materials.
• Develop information on operational failures and resolutions.
