Job summary

GVI Inc., a subsidiary of Three Saints Bay, LLC, is seeking an Engineering Technician I to join our Team in Newport, RI. This role focuses on the repair and production of towed array systems, with responsibilities including testing, assembly of hoses and tow cables, and data analysis.

Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be able to obtain a DoD Secret level clearance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office is expected, and prior experience in electronics repair and cable assembly is

Qualifications

• High school or GED; DoD secret clearance eligibility.
• Certification in soldering or fiber-optic termination/connector.
• Experience with electronics repair at component level.
• Manufacturing experience with hose assemblies and tow cables.

Responsibilities

• Repair and production of towed array systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair module assemblies to component level.
• Manufacture and assemble hose and tow cables with precision.
• Work independently on standard assignments with guidance as needed.
• Construct components, sub-units or simple models.
• Conduct tests and experiments, modify test setups as needed.
• Extract, compile and process engineering data, fix inconsistencies.
• Assist in design modifications by compiling data.
