Cox Automotive Inc. in Mount Juliet, TN is seeking a tow truck operator to provide vehicle tow services on-site and at various locations. The role includes operating a front-end loader, ensuring vehicle safety, and supporting auction operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED plus 5 years of related work experience, OR any degree or certification above a High School Diploma/GED plus 3 years of related work experience, OR 7 years of related work experience.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver's license required.
• 1-3 years of experience driving a service/tow truck or front-end loader required.
• Pre-hire Physical needed for DOT medical card.
• Completion of DOT Driver Qualification file.
• Dependent on the role, a 5 Panel Drug test may be required.
• Adhere to Vehicle Use Policy.

Responsibilities

• Operates a tow truck to provide tow service to customer vehicles on the SAAA parking lot and in different locations as needed.
• Operates a front-end loader to provide a loading and unloading service for the customers and move vehicles around the lot for auction shops.
• Affixes tow truck and front-end loader to vehicle to prevent damage and ensure safe immobilization.
• Hauls vehicles to directed areas in a safe and courteous manner.
• Scans towed vehicles with TC75 to the delivery location.
• Assists with towing and jump-starts battery as requested.
• Assists in unlocking vehicles or locating using Lot Vision.
• Tows vehicles to the Mechanic shop as requested.
• Removes vehicles parked incorrectly to the customer lot as requested.
• Performs routine maintenance on tow truck and loader (oil changes, lubes, filters, tires).
• Operate truck and loader in safety-compliant manner.
• May assist in sale day operations or other duties as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and support Safety Excellence.
