Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Operate a tow truck to provide tow services to customer vehicles on the SAAA parking lot and in various locations as needed. May require the use of dollies.
2. Operate a front-end loader for loading and unloading services for customers and move vehicles around the lot for auction shops.
3. Properly secure vehicles with the tow truck and front-end loader to prevent damage or danger during towing. Ensure vehicles are left in a safe, immobile state after towing.
4. Haul vehicles to designated areas in a safe and courteous manner.
5. Scan each towed vehicle using the TC75 device at the delivery location.
6. Assist employees and customers with towing, jump-starting vehicle batteries, unlocking vehicles, or locating vehicles using Lot Vision, as requested.
7. Tow vehicles to the mechanic shop as needed.
8. Remove improperly parked or unsafe vehicles from customer and employee lots as requested.
9. Perform routine maintenance on tow truck and front-end loader (e.g., oil changes, lubes, filter changes, tire changes).
10. Operate trucks and loaders in compliance with safety regulations.
11. Assist in lot operations and sale day activities when not operating tow trucks.
12. Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety procedures and actively participating in safety activities.
13. Run reports to move vehicles into the sale TRA area for auction.
14. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
15. Work overtime as needed based on business requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 5 years of related experience, or
• Any degree/certification beyond high school plus 3 years of experience, or
• 7 years of related experience.
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record are required.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly pay ranges from $17.74 to $26.59, depending on location, skills, and experience. Additional compensation may include commissions or incentives.

Employees receive at least 16 hours of paid time off monthly, seven paid holidays, and additional leave options such as bereavement, voting, jury duty, volunteer, military, and parental leave.
