Job summary

Visit Phoenix is seeking a Tourism Coordinator to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. You will act as the operational backbone of the tourism group, coordinating timelines, supporting sales and marketing initiatives, and ensuring event and program details are executed with excellence.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, customer-service oriented, and comfortable working with industry partners globally. Experience in hospitality or tourism, CRM familiarity (SimpleView a plus), and MS Office skills

Qualifications

  • Experience in hospitality, tourism, travel, or a related industry.
  • Knowledge of CRM or database management; SimpleView experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.
  • Ability to lift and transport event and promotional materials up to 40 pounds as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource for members, clients, partners, and visitors.
  • Respond to department inquiries (phone & email).
  • Coordinate schedules and help ensure seamless operations when team members are traveling.
  • Contribute to special projects across the Tourism department.
  • Work closely with sales managers and marketing team on promotional initiatives.
  • Assist with sales lead input, distribution, and follow up.
  • Support intern onboarding, training, and project coordination.
  • Coordinate Events, Trade Shows & FAM Tours.
  • Prepare itineraries, participation materials, sales kits, and appointment schedules.
  • Assist with site inspections, familiarization (FAM) tours, and tourism programs.
  • Support tourism missions, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Represent Visit Phoenix at events as needed.
  • Track Performance & Reporting.
  • Maintain organized records, including SimpleView CRM data.
  • Monitor tourism team activity and production metrics.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Track campaign performance, ROI, and member participation.
  • Maintain & update department SOP documentation as needed.

What You'll Do
