Job summary

Blue Man Group, part of Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group, is seeking an Assistant Carpenter for the 2026 A New Holiday Surprise Touring production. The role supports the Head of Carpentry in scenic, rigging, and deck operations and serves as a technical swing across departments during a dynamic touring schedule.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of theatrical carpentry and rigging experience, with hands-on work in power tools and stage hardware, and must be able to travel domestically for

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in theatrical carpentry, rigging, or technical production for live entertainment.
• Experience with scenic, mechanical, or automation systems.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and cue sheets.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, operation, and maintenance of scenic, stage, and automation elements.
• Run assigned show tracks and cues during performances.
• Serve as a technical swing, supporting Lighting, Video, Props and Wardrobe as needed.
• Maintain safety and perform inspections of equipment and rigging.
