Job summary

ManpowerGroup® (USA) is seeking a Touch Up Rework Operator in Milpitas, CA to support the manufacturing team. The role focuses on hand soldering and rework of SMT and through-hole components in accordance with IPC-A-610 standards, working 2:30pm–11pm.

You will execute rework per ECOs, DPI/MPI instructions, and use leaded or lead-free solder and flux. The position offers growth within a dynamic manufacturing environment serving medical devices and defense sectors.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of practical manufacturing experience with soldering irons.
• Experience performing touch-up and rework on SMT components.
• Experience performing touch-up and rework on through-hole components.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, specifications, BOMs, MPI, and component values.
• Experience with medical devices or defense products is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform hand soldering and touch-up rework for SMT and through-hole components, following IPC-A-610 standards.
• Execute rework based on ECOs, Process Deviations, and MPI instructions using appropriate solder and flux types (Leaded/Lead-Free, clean or no-clean).
• Install and hand solder all second operation and SMT parts as required per MPI and deviation procedures.
• Adapt to working on various SMT and T/H components as needed to meet production goals.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to ESD, board handling, and safety practices.

Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing supporting medical devices and defense applications, is seeking a dedicated Touch Up Rework Operator to join their team. As a Touch Up Rework Operator, you will be part of the Manufacturing Department supporting the production team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, adaptability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range: $26

Shift:2:30pm to 11pm

What's the Job?

• Perform hand soldering and touch-up rework for SMT and through-hole components, including jumper wires, following IPC-A-610 standards.
• Execute rework based on Engineering Change Orders (ECO), Process Deviations, and MPI instructions using appropriate solder and flux types (Leaded/Lead-Free, clean or no-clean processes).
• Install and hand solder all second operation and SMT parts as required per MPI and deviation procedures.
• Adapt to working on various SMT and T/H components as needed to meet production goals.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to ESD, board handling, and safety practices.
