Job summary

Figeac Aero North America is seeking a Touch-up Painter for the 2nd shift in Wichita, KS. The role requires following detailed instructions, masking, priming, and topcoat application to Mil-spec standards.

You will prepare parts, document workflows, and inspect paint results while maintaining a safe, organized workspace. The position offers a 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00pm-10:30pm), pay rate $17.00-$19.00 per hour plus a $0.75/hour shift differential, and benefits consistent with an aerospace

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year experience with primer, fuel cell and top coat preferred.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must be self-motivated, dependable, and able to work in a team.
• Able to lift 25 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to thoroughly follow instructions and be attentive to details.
• Touch up primers and top coats to Mil specs on multiple surface types.
• Mask and de-mask parts as required.
• Prep parts prior to painting including masking, sanding, and cleaning.
• Complete work flow documentation thoroughly and properly.
• Inspect results of paint applied.
• Inspection: Knowledge of the expected response and appearance of the material being painted.
• Final Inspection: Will be trained for Final Inspection responsibilities.
• Clean and repair paint equipment and keep work area organized.
• Wear proper safety equipment (PPE) and follow safety procedures at all times.
• Keep work area clean.
• Assist other departments as necessary.

Job Title:Touch Up Painter (2nd Shift)

Shift Hours:

2nd Shift Monday to Friday 2:00pm to 10:30 pm

Pay Rate:$17.00 - $19.00, dependent upon relative experience

Shift Differential: $0.75 /hr in addition to hourly rate

Requirements:

• Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing environment, preferred
• Must be self-motivated and produce quality work
• Dependable, team-oriented, and good communication skills

• Team player and willing to learn new skills

Working Conditions:

• Some overtime may be required
• Ability to regularly and frequently lift 25 pounds
• Will be exposed to constant activity that requires intermittent standing, bending, crouching, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting, moving, carrying light and heavy loads, and climbing stairs and ladders. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate small power tools and other equipment
