Job summary

Figeac Aero North America is seeking a Touch-Up Painter for the 3rd shift in Wichita, KS. The role is full-time, hourly, with a $17-$19 pay rate and a $1 per hour shift differential. You will follow detailed instructions, prep surfaces, and apply primers and top coats to Mil specs.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year primer/top coat experience, aerospace background preferred, and a strong focus on quality, safety, and teamwork. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• 1+ year experience with primer, fuel cell and top coat preferred.
• Previous aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
• Self-motivated and produce quality work.
• Dependable, team-oriented, with good communication skills.
• Excellent attendance and positive attitude required.
• Team player and willingness to learn new skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow instructions and maintain attention to detail.
• Touch up primers and top coats to Mil specs on multiple surface types.
• Mask and de-mask parts as required.
• Prep parts before painting including masking, sanding, cleaning.
• Complete work flow documentation thoroughly and properly.
• Inspect results of paint applied and ensure quality.
• Final Inspection responsibilities as trained.
• Maintain clean and safe work area and equipment in good condition.
• Support other departments as needed.
