Figeac Aero North America, Inc. is seeking a Shot Peen - Masker & Sander for our Wichita, KS facility. This full-time, hourly role offers first and second shifts with pay ranging from $17.00 to $19.00 per hour DOE.

You will be responsible for racking, masking, sanding, and assisting with shot peen forming processes. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior aerospace tooling experience, and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Prior aerospace manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience using hand tools such as sanding equipment required.
• Good attendance and reliability are essential.
• Willingness to learn shot peen forming on the job.

Responsibilities

• Rack, un-rack, and move materials.
• Sand and mask/unmask parts as needed.
• Prepare parts before and after shot peen forming.
• Learn shot peen forming skills on the job.
• Assist other plant workers with general labor duties.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Demonstrate dependability, teamwork, and good communication.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear PPE at all times.

• 2nd Shift Hours: Monday - Friday; 2:00pm - 10:30pm

Pay Rate:

$17.00-19.00/hr DOE (Shift Differential pay for 2nd)

Job Duties

• Racking, un-racking, and moving materials

Requirements

• Previous experience in aerospace manufacturing environment preferred
• Must have prior experience using hand tools such as sanding equipment
• Must be self-motivated and produce quality work

• Open to learning a new skill; manual shot peen forming
• Dependable, team-oriented, and good communication skills
• Follow Company Safety rules and wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
• Any additional processing work assigned by manager.

Working Conditions

• Some overtime may be necessary
• The essential duties job may require the ability to stoop; to reach; to stand, and to walk for extended periods of time; to push and/or pull objects weighing up to 30 pounds; to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds; to use finger dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment and hand strength to grasp files and other objects; to perceive the attributes of objects by touch; to hear and verbally exchange ideas and information with the public, staff and others in the office. Frequently being on foot, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climb stairs and kneeling and/or crouch to retrieve items. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate small power tools and other equipment. Writing to complete reports and service requests. Occasionally Lifting and carrying (with assistance) items weighing 75-150 lbs. Must be able to wear safety PPE equipment, as required. Noise levels may require hearing protection.
