Job summary

FMFCU/SFN is seeking a Total Rewards leader to oversee compensation, benefits, and payroll programs, while directing HRIS and employee records administration. The role ensures data integrity, regulatory compliance, and an excellent employee experience within a financially regulated environment.

The role provides strategic leadership, partners with stakeholders, and drives continuous process improvements across the rewards function, including vendor management and analytics to support competitive

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, accounting, finance, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of progressive HR experience with exposure to compensation, benefits, and payroll.
  • Experience administering HRIS platforms.
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, CCP, CEBS, CPP or related certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and direction to Total Rewards staff.
  • Manage compensation programs, market pricing, and job evaluations.
  • Oversee benefits administration and vendor management.
  • Oversee payroll operations and regulatory reporting.
  • Ensure HR data integrity, system analytics, and audits.

SummaryManages the organization's Total Rewards function, including compensation, benefits, and payroll, while overseeing HRIS, reporting, and employee records administration. Provides oversight for the administration of Total Rewards programs, HR systems, and related processes to ensure operational effectiveness, regulatory compliance, data integrity, and a positive employee experience.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadershipProvides oversight and direction to staff including hiring; communicating expectations; planning, monitoring and evaluating performance; coaching, counseling, and developing employees; recommending compensation actions; and coordinating and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.CompensationManages the administration of compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and related initiatives.Conducts market pricing, compensation analysis, and job evaluations to support competitive and equitable pay practices.Oversees the organization's job architecture, including job descriptions, classifications, and salary grades.Provides guidance regarding compensation practices, pay decisions, and job design.Supports annual compensation planning and review activities.Benefits AdministrationManages the administration of employee benefit programs, including health, welfare, retirement, and voluntary benefit offerings.Ensures effective delivery of benefit programs through vendor management, employee communications, and annual enrollment activities.Ensures compliance with applicable regulations, reporting requirements, and filings.Payroll AdministrationOversees payroll operations to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and reporting requirements.Reviews payroll controls, audits, reconciliations, and reporting processes.Resolves complex payroll issues and supports continuous process improvement.HR Systems, Administration & ComplianceEnsures the integrity, security, and accuracy of employee data and HR records.Supports internal and external audits, regulatory reporting, and compliance with applicable employment, payroll, and benefits requirements.Oversees HR systems and analytics, vendor relationships, and process improvement initiatives.Is responsible for adhering to operational controls, including compliance with all required regulations and policies such as the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) to ensure the safety and soundness of the organization and its members.Education/ExperienceBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field.5-8 years of progressive Human Resources experience with exposure to compensation, benefits, and payroll.Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.Experience administering HRIS platforms.Experience managing vendors, consultants, and third-party service providers.SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, CCP, CEBS, CPP or related certification preferredOther QualificationsStrong demonstrated abilities required:Customer/Member ServiceInterpersonal/Team PlayerMotivated/Works IndependentlySupervisory SkillsAnalytical/Problem SolvingOrganizational SkillsProject Management SkillsDetail OrientedVerbal/Written SkillsMicrosoft OfficePrioritize/Multi-taskAlso required:Must maintain confidentialityThorough knowledge of compensation, benefits, payroll and applicable regulations.Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Ability to sit for extended periods; occasional standingFrequent use of hands/fingers for typing and operating standard office equipmentAbility to hear and speak clearlyVisual acuity to read computer screens and written documentsOccasional lifting of objects up to 30 poundsMinimal physical exertion; occasional walkingOther DutiesThis job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of responsibilities required for this job.
