Job summary

Shaw Industries is seeking a Total Rewards HR Intern to gain hands-on experience with total rewards programs, compensation and benefits initiatives, and analytics. You will work closely with the Total Rewards team to research, analyze, and help prepare reports and presentations.

This internship offers exposure to the field of total rewards, mentorship from seasoned professionals, and a chance to develop practical skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and data communications.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of total rewards programs, including compensation and benefits plans.
• Conduct research and analysis on market trends and benchmarking data to evaluate the competitiveness of total rewards programs.
• Support the administration of compensation processes, such as salary surveys, job evaluations, and merit increase cycles.
• Assist in the review and analysis of employee benefits programs, including health and wellness initiatives.
• Contribute to communication and education efforts related to total rewards programs, ensuring employees understand the value and impact of their benefits.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and information needed for total rewards projects.
• Assist in the preparation of reports and presentations to support decision-making and communication of total rewards strategy.
