Job summary

DigiKey is seeking a motivated Intern to join the Total Rewards HR team. You will participate in compensation and data analysis projects while gaining hands-on experience with reports, benchmarking, and rewards practices.

This hybrid internship offers mentorship from seasoned professionals, exposure to job evaluation, market benchmarking, and opportunities to contribute to real-world HR initiatives during the semester.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field such as HR, business, finance, data analytics, or I/O psychology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and contribute across multiple projects.
• Curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn in a team setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other MS 365 apps.

Responsibilities

• Support Total Rewards/Human Resources initiatives through research, analysis, data validation, and project support.
• Assist with maintaining and organizing compensation and rewards information and docs.
• Contribute to developing reports, presentations, and recommendations for HR decision-making.
• Participate in projects and team initiatives with Total Rewards and HR professionals.
• Gain exposure to a broad range of total rewards practices while supporting day-to-day activities.

Position Overview:

As a DigiKey Intern, you will participate in various aspects of the DigiKey department of which you are assigned. You will work alongside team members and have the opportunity to complete a capstone project which you’ll work on throughout the internship.
Housing: Local campus housing (private room, private bath, and shared living space) is provided for interns selecting Thief River Falls as their internship home base. We are unable to provide housing for Bloomington-based internships.
This is a hybrid or essential onsite role, which will require onsite attendance

• Support a variety of Total Rewards and Human Resources initiatives through research, analysis, data validation, and project support activities.
• Assist with maintaining and organizing compensation and rewards-related information and documentation.
• Contribute to the development of reports, presentations, and recommendations that support business and HR decision-making.
• Participate in ongoing projects and team initiatives, collaborating with Total Rewards and HR professionals to advance key priorities.
• Gain exposure to a broad range of total rewards practices while supporting day-to-day department activities and special projects.

What We're Looking For

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality.
• Ability to stay organized, manage competing priorities, and contribute effectively across multiple concurrent projects and assignments.
• Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn in a collaborative team environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft 365 applications.

Physical Requirements

Compensation

The base pay range for this position is determined based on a candidate’s relevant experience and their most recently completed year of undergraduate education and/or the graduate program (Masters/PhD) they are pursuing.

• For undergraduate applicants, the base pay range is $21.00 to $23.00.
• For graduate applicants, the base pay rate is $26.00 for applicants pursuing a Masters degree and $29.00 for those pursuing a PhD.
