Job summary

Verition Fund Management LLC is seeking an Operations Specialist for its TRS Operations team in New York. The role manages trade lifecycle events across asset classes with a primary focus on Total Return Swaps, partnering with Trading, Fund Accounting, Technology, and Risk to ensure accurate reconciliation and timely issue resolution.

The ideal candidate has an undergraduate degree in finance or economics, several years in fund or trade operations, and familiarity with Geneva.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in finance, economics or related discipline.
• Several years of experience in fund or trade operations.
• Knowledge of Geneva preferred.
• General knowledge of financial instruments across markets.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Self-starter with analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage trade lifecycle events for TRS across asset classes with key partners.
• Resolve day-to-day trade breaks with swap counterparties and front office.
• Support swap resets, trade bookings, and P&L inquiries; perform daily reconciliations in Geneva.
• Review daily transaction, position, and cash reconciliations for TRS products.
• Identify process gaps and collaborate to implement solutions.
• Assist senior management in streamlining workflows and reducing risk.
• Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Perform due diligence to fully resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Stay updated on industry best practices to improve policies and procedures.
