Job summary

Verition is seeking an Operations Analyst / Associate to join its Post-Trade Support (Fixed Income Operations) team in New York. You will support end-to-end post-trade processing for fixed income products and collaborate with Trading, Portfolio Management, Prime Brokers, and Custodians to ensure timely settlements.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in fixed income operations, strong reconciliations skills, and proficiency with Bloomberg, CTM, and SWIFT.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of operations experience supporting fixed income products.
• Experience with trade processing, settlements, and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with government and corporate bonds, agencies, municipals, repos and money market instruments.
• Experience interacting with custodians, prime brokers, and counterparties.

Responsibilities

• Support the end-to-end post-trade lifecycle for fixed income products, including government bonds, corporate bonds, agencies, municipals, repos, and money market instruments.
• Process trade allocations, confirmations, and settlements with custodians, counterparties, and prime brokers.
• Perform daily trade, position, cash, and settlement reconciliations, investigating discrepancies.
• Monitor settlement activity and address failed trades, buy-ins, and aged settlement issues.
• Coordinate with Trading, Portfolio Management, Treasury, Risk, and counterparties to resolve operational issues.
• Process coupon payments, principal repayments, maturities, corporate actions, and other fixed income events.
• Maintain accurate security master and static data; monitor daily cash movements and settlement funding.
• Execute daily controls and support month-end reporting and regulatory requests.
• Participate in system enhancements and process improvements to increase efficiency.
