Job summary

Verition Group LLC is seeking an Operations Specialist to join the TRS Operations team in New York. You will manage trade lifecycle events focused on Total Return Swaps, partnering with Trading, Fund Accounting, Technology, and Risk to resolve breaks and support bookings.

Excel in reconciling daily transaction data and driving process improvements. The role requires an undergraduate finance/economics degree and several years in fund/trade operations, with knowledge of Geneva preferred.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or related discipline.
• Several years of relevant work experience in fund or trade operations.
• Knowledge of Geneva preferred.
• General knowledge of financial instruments across markets.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage trade lifecycle events across asset classes with a focus on Total Return Swaps, collaborating with Trading, Fund Accounting, Technology, and Risk.
• Resolve day-to-day trade breaks across swap counterparties with front office and operations teams to fix discrepancies.
• Support swap resets, trade bookings, corporate action processing, and P&L inquiries; perform daily reconciliations in Geneva.
• Review daily transaction, position, and cash reconciliations for TRS products.
• Identify process gaps and work with stakeholders to develop and implement solutions.
• Assist senior management in streamlining workflows and reducing operational risk.
• Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Conduct thorough due diligence to resolve issues timely and prevent financial or reputational impact.
• Maintain knowledge of industry best practices to help develop procedures.
