Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or related Science field required.
• NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist license required.
• At least 1 year experience required.
• ASCP Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the ability to perform clinical/technical/service/administrative tasks.
• Performs chemistry/hematology procedures including coagulation and urinalysis.
• Maintains instrumentation with routine maintenance and documentation.
• Conducts QC/calibration and documents results in LIS.
• Reviews Critical Test results and communicates with Nursing/Physician.
• Prioritizes work to meet turnaround times and notifies supervisor if delays.
• Participates in performance improvement and staff training.
• Ensures safety and regulatory compliance in all lab activities.
