Job summary

International Rescue Committee seeks a Safety and Wellness Caseworker to deliver client-centered case management for Survivors of Torture, coordinating eligibility, service plans, and community referrals. The role emphasizes linguistically appropriate services and collaboration with cross-cultural partners.

Responsibilities include outreach, documentation, survey administration, and contributing to donor reporting while supporting program growth and compliance with IRC policies and safeguarding

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Social Work or related field strongly preferred; comparable experience may be substituted.
• 2+ years of case management experience in a social services environment or related work experience; experience with survivors of torture preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive case management services to Survivors of Torture (SOT).
• Conduct outreach to case management staff, refugee-serving agencies, ethnic community-based organizations and others.
• Complete eligibility screenings for all referral and enrollment paperwork for all eligible program participants.
• Complete social and legal assessments for all enrolled clients.
• Develop a service and safety plan for each program participant.
• Provide benefits applications assistance and identify suitable social activities per service plans.
• Guide participants to access community services per their plan.
• Ensure services are linguistically appropriate and advocate for language access.
• Document case notes in a timely, detailed manner.
• Administer client satisfaction and progress surveys per grant requirements.
• Assist with donor reports and new funding proposals.
