You will handle masa, fry and cook tortillas, stock displays, ensure proper storage temperatures, and provide excellent customer service. This role requires physical stamina and strict adherence to food safety standards, with flexibility for afternoons, evenings, weekends.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn tortilla production from dry corn to finished product.
• Familiarity with tortillería equipment, tools, and ovens.
• Team-oriented with strong communication and customer service skills.
• Responsible, professional, and positive attitude.
• Basic understanding of English language.
• Must be able to transfer to other store locations within a reasonable commute.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Smile, greet, and assist customers with tortilla and specialty product orders.
• Production: Prepare masa, fry and cook tortilla products, ensure quality, weight, and appearance.
• Merchandising: Stock, rotate, and replenish products; keep displays fresh and at proper storage temperatures.
• Operations: Package, weigh, and label tortillas; transport products to storage.
• Sanitation & Safety: Clean equipment and work areas; follow safe cleaning practices.
• Compliance: Follow health department regulations and labeling laws.
• Teamwork: Assist coworkers and participate in training new employees.
• Other Duties: Support department operations and customer satisfaction.
