Job summary

Insight Global in Arlington, TX seeks a Manufacturing Launch Engineer to lead torque-related projects from planning through UAT. You will coordinate with industrial engineers and shop floor teams to install new tooling, ensure ergonomics and safety, and optimize assembly line performance.

The role requires a Bachelor's in engineering or equivalent, hands-on experience with manufacturing launches, and familiarity with Atlas Copco fastening equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience as Manufacturing Launch Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Launch Coordinator, or related.
• Familiarity with Atlas Copco fastening equipment and torque controllers.
• Leadership skills: planning, scheduling, and coordinating projects with trades or contractors.

Responsibilities

• Manage Torque Engineering projects including planning, installation, operations improvements, and UAT activities.
• Assure common controls architecture for all new and revised tooling and equipment.
• Coordinate and communicate the development of changes to improve conditions for the assembly process.
• Enforce safe work practices with emphasis on ergonomics, health/safety, and housekeeping.
• Mechanical/Electrical aptitude with the ability to grasp complex systems easily.
• Develops and monitors planning timetables and project schedules.
• Responsible for maintaining and meeting all T&E Bulletins and PCPs.
• Participates in plant meetings to represent Launch and support performance goals.
• Communicate issues to proper parties within affected departments.
• Provide technical support and direction to support personnel within the organization.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
• Background as a Manufacturing Launch Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Launch Coordinator, Torque Engineer or related
• Atlas copco fastening equipment or related fastening equipment’s, torque controllers and guns.
• Leadership skills include planning, scheduling, and implementation of project work by unionized plant trades or outside contractors.

Responsibilities:

• Manages Torque Engineering projects including planning, installation, new, replacement, operations improvements, and User Acceptance Validation (UAT) Activities
• Assures common controls architecture for all new and revised tooling and equipment
• Coordinates and communicates the development of changes to improve conditions for the assembly process
• Enforces safe work practices as the highest priority and implements objectives for ergonomics, health/safety, and housekeeping
• Mechanical/Electrical aptitude with the ability to grasp complex systems easily
• Develops and monitors planning timetables and project schedules
• Responsible in ensuring all T&E Bulletins and PCP’s are maintained and met.
• Participates in functional area plant meetings and related functions to represent Launch and to assist in improving the plant's performance goals.
