Job summary

STEELGATE LLC is seeking a Systems Architecture Engineer to support USPACOM in Camp Smith, HI. This full-time on-site role requires a Top Secret clearance and experience with DoD networks and DoW standards.

The engineer will develop architectural artifacts, evaluate options, provide on-site support during experiments, and ensure designs meet DoD/USPACOM guidelines. Occasional travel is required for conferences and planning sessions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Active Top-Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
• 5+ years supporting DoW DoD networks.
• Experience in DoW weapons systems and joint fires (5+ years).
• Knowledge of USPACOM AOR.

Responsibilities

• Support development of architectural artifacts (diagrams, models, specs).
• Evaluate feasibility/performance of architectural options.
• Provide on-site support during experiments.
• Ensure alignment with DoW/DoD and USPACOM standards.
• Design and implement computer and information networks (LAN/WAN/SDN).
• Lead design/engineering projects for ETA experimentation.
• Perform network planning, modeling, analysis, and optimization.
• Travel up to 15% annually.
