Job summary

Critical Solutions, LLC is seeking a Mid System Engineer with an active Secret clearance to support a large-scale enterprise network at Pearl Harbor, HI. The role emphasizes hands-on LAN/WAN/WLAN engineering, network security, and Tier III troubleshooting in a large DoD environment.

The position is on-site (Wednesday–Sunday) with potential travel to alternate locations; salary ranges from $99,000 to $128,000 depending on location and experience, plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required; Top Secret eligible.
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level III certification (e.g., CASP+, CISSP, CCNP Security) or equivalent.
• Experience with BAN/LAN/WAN/WLAN and network boundary engineering.
• Experience supporting networks of large scale (16,000+ devices across 450+ locations).
• On-site availability and willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues in a dynamic enterprise environment.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot switches, routers, VLANs, APs, firewalls, and sensors.
• Provide Tier III escalation support and coordinate with vendors for incident resolution.
• Develop and maintain Engineering Implementation Plans (EIPs) and change tickets.
• Track work in an Agile/SAFe framework using JIRA and participate in PI activities.
• Ensure configurations comply with DISA STIGs and cybersecurity policies.
