Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to support the modernization and deployment of a critical government information system. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines, Nexus Repository management, and building and maintaining Apache Solr clusters with ZooKeeper in production environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Nexus Repository management experience.
• Building and maintaining Apache Solr clusters with ZooKeeper in production environments.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server administration.
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudFormation/Terraform).
• Infrastructure-as-code practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Automate deployment processes across development, staging, and production environments.
• Manage Nexus Repository for artifact storage and dependency management.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code solutions using CloudFormation and/or Terraform.
• Build and maintain Apache Solr clusters with ZooKeeper in production environments.
• Administer Windows Server environments and orchestrate infrastructure upgrades.
• Plan and execute migration strategies from on-premises VMware to AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Configure and manage AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, and related components.
• Develop containerization strategies for Java applications.
• Implement configuration management tools and practices.
• Apply security controls in both on-premises VMware and AWS cloud environments.
• Monitor system performance and implement optimization strategies.
