Job summary

The Boeing Company seeks a Senior DevOps Engineer to advance a government information system. You will design and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines, manage Nexus repositories, and build and operate Apache Solr clusters with Zookeeper in production.

This position requires strong Windows Server administration, AWS cloud services, and infrastructure-as-code practices. You will collaborate with security teams to ensure reliable deployments across on-premises VMware and AWS environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience setting up build infrastructure with GitLab for development.
• Experience with Nexus repository or similar package repository for Java applications.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server administration and LDAP/Active Directory integration.
• Experience in AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, CloudFormation/Terraform).
• Infrastructure-as-code practices are essential.
• Experience in installation, setup, and configuration of full-stack applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.
• Automate deployment processes across development, staging, and production environments.
• Manage Nexus Repository for artifact storage and dependency management.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation solutions and procedures.
• Troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline issues.
• Build and maintain container images as needed.
• Build and maintain Apache Solr clusters with Zookeeper in production.
• Administer and upgrade Windows Server environments.
• Plan and execute VMware to AWS migration strategies.
• Configure and manage AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS).
• Collaborate with DBAs on RDS setup and configuration on AWS.
