Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is hiring a Database Administrator to support a data-centric OSINT platform for DoD and IC enterprise. You will design, implement, and optimize database schemas, manage multiple database instances, and contribute to CI/CD automation while ensuring data integrity across on-prem and cloud environments.

The role requires Security+ and AWS Cloud Practitioner certs, plus 3+ years in major RDBMS systems and data modeling. On-site Bethesda, MD with a fast-paced, technical team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or Master’s with 6+ years.
• Security+ certification and cloud credentials required for access.
• 3+ years administering SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle.
• 3+ years designing schemas, data models, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to develop ETL solutions for diverse datasets.
• Administer, maintain, and optimize databases across on-premises and cloud.
• Design and improve database schemas and data models for performance.
• Document database design and interfaces with other systems.
• Define data export/import formats and APIs, including auth and structure.
• Manage multiple database instances ensuring data consistency across platforms.
• Support CI/CD automation, code promotion, and deployment processes.
• Participate in daily scrums and planning sessions.
