Absolute Business Solutions Corp is seeking a Database Administrator to join the DOMEX Technology Platform team in Bethesda, MD. The role involves administering and optimizing databases, designing schemas, and enabling data sharing across the POSTMAN data stores within an Agile environment.

Most work is on-site with some remote tasks possible. Applicants must hold a DoD TS/SCI clearance with polygraph or be able to obtain one, have Security+ and cloud certifications, and possess 3+ years of

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience or Master’s with 6 years of relevant experience.
• DoD TS/SCI security clearance and ability to obtain TS/SCI with Polygraph.
• Ability to obtain Privileged User Account (PUA) and security qualifications (Security+ and cloud certs).
• 3+ years administering databases (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
• 3+ years of database scripting using CLI tools.
• 3+ years designing database schemas, data models, and performance tuning.
• Experience with on-premises and cloud database environments.
• Experience monitoring DB health and mitigating SLA risks.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps/DevSecOps in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to develop ETL for diverse datasets.
• Administer, maintain, upgrade, and optimize databases.
• Design and improve database schemas and data models.
• Document database designs and interactions with other systems.
• Define formats for data exports/imports and APIs.
• Manage multiple DB instances ensuring data consistency.
• Support CI/CD, code promotion, and deployment operations.
• Participate in daily scrums and program increments.
