Job summary

The Building People, LLC is seeking a Program Manager for a full-time, on-site role in Washington, DC, supporting a Department of Homeland Security contract. You will manage day-to-day contract operations across multiple projects and staff, ensuring deliverables meet scope, budget, and schedule.

The PM will coordinate planning and production, communicate with clients and staff, recruit and hire project personnel, and maintain rigorous oversight in a demanding technical environment.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and program management skills.
• Ability to supervise multi-disciplinary teams and complex contracts.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the operation of departments to ensure programs are completed on time, within budget, and per specifications.
• Take proactive steps to minimize delays in delivery.
• Regularly communicate with customers/clients to arrange meetings, confirm program schedules, and discuss program problems.
• Recruit and hire for the project and manage staff.
• Communicate with staff and subcontractors to arrange meetings and discuss program status.
• Inform customers/clients of program status and escalate issues as needed.
• Forecast potential schedule delays and develop alternate plans.
• Ensure on-time delivery of all project deliverables.
• Participate in business development activities.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
