Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in California seeks a Program Manager 2 to lead cost, schedule, and technical performance across multiple development projects within an integrated product team. The role is on-site at Rancho Bernardo or Palmdale, with travel up to 25%.

You will develop master plans, manage budgets with Earned Value Management, and coordinate customers and senior leadership while guiding subcontractors to meet complex program objectives and pursuing new business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of related experience or Master’s degree with 8 years of related experience.
• Background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with customers and executives.

Responsibilities

• Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance across multiple development projects.
• Develop and monitor master plans, roadmaps, and milestone schedules; take corrective actions as needed.
• Establish and manage budget baselines with Earned Value Management (EVM) as applicable.
• Identify program problems and implement solutions, including resource reallocation or contractual changes.
• Conduct risk and opportunity management to mitigate issues and realize opportunities.
• Lead program reviews with customers and senior leadership to address status and decisions.
• Direct and align subcontractors and suppliers to common objectives and performance expectations.
• Provide leadership in a complex, distributed, partner-rich environment.
