Job summary

Obsidian Solutions Group is seeking a Computer/Network Engineer to support the Bureau of Diplomatic Security in the Washington, DC area. You will evaluate technologies, plan security policies, and test vulnerabilities for networks and systems, with a focus on secure lab environments.

You will design and deploy cabling and network infrastructure, document procedures for senior State Department managers, and troubleshoot issues under tight deadlines while coordinating with DS teams and travel as

Qualifications

• Active Interim Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• 5 years of experience with master's degree in CS/engineering or 10 years with bachelor's.
• Experience configuring Windows servers and lab networking; scripting for Linux/Windows/OSX.
• Familiarity with AD, LDAP, OCSP, and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate new technologies and security vulnerabilities.
• Assist in policy planning for state-of-the-art equipment in DS resources.
• Test vulnerabilities in software and hardware for networks.
• Design and deploy network and video infrastructure cabling.
• Analyze architectures to optimize performance and security.
• Document testing procedures and recommendations for senior managers.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues under tight deadlines.
• Research and report on emergent technologies.
