Job summary
Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Charlottesville, VA to greet visitors, manage access control and badge processes, monitor alarm panels, and provide excellent customer service. The role requires an active DoD Top Secret clearance, a high school diploma, and flexibility for a part-time schedule.
Qualifications
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance required.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- CPR certification preferred.
- Access control and badge experience preferred.
- Alarm panel experience preferred.
- Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
- Background check and drug screen required by law.
- Licensing requirements may apply; driver’s license for driving roles.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures and policies.
- Monitor front‑desk access, greet visitors, verify credentials, and maintain visitor records.
- Respond to incidents calmly and document relevant details for reporting.
- Support a professional lobby environment and deter unauthorized access.
