Job summary
ASEC is seeking a Network Systems Engineer to implement, troubleshoot, and sustain secure network systems supporting Navy LVC training. Based in Norfolk, VA, you will configure routers, switches, and firewalls, review engineering docs, and support installation and integration with a focus on security and documentation.
Minimum 6 years of network experience, Linux+ or equivalent, and DoD Top Secret clearance criteria apply.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in a STEM related area may be considered in lieu of experience.
- Experience implementing, troubleshooting, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, and firewall controls.
Responsibilities
- Implement and troubleshoot network solutions per approved designs and requirements.
- Configure routers, switches, firewalls, VLANs, and LAN/WAN connections.
- Review diagrams, rack elevations, cabling schedules, and installation drawings.
- Support installation, verification, and documentation of network equipment.
- Maintain network baselines, inventories, BOMs, and change records.
- Travel up to 25% annually as needed.
