Job summary

This position requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance. A Texas driver’s license is needed, with lifting up to 25 lbs and readiness to work in a unionized environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree with a minimum of 6 years of security experience.
• Must be able to meet Texas Department of Public Safety certification requirements for Level II Non-Commissioned Security License.
• Possess and maintain a valid Texas Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Protect life and safeguard property against fire, negligence, sabotage, and other damage.
• Investigate security incidents, hazards and accidents.
• Extinguish fires, direct traffic, report and detain offenders when needed.
• Guard gates, entrances, and restricted areas to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Make detailed reports of accidents, violations, and suspicious conditions.
• Ensure emergency personnel and company are notified during major incidents.
• Provide oral and written reports on security infractions and incidents.
• Stay updated on security policies and procedures.
• Operate security control centers and related applications.
