Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Custodian to care for assigned areas, rooms, and surrounding spaces, ensuring cleanliness and high sanitary standards. The role requires ability to use a range of cleaning tools and to assist with setup for meetings and events.

Responsibilities include trash removal, linen handling, and routine maintenance of cleaning equipment. A Top Secret clearance is required for the position and to meet contract demands.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment.
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies, techniques, and safe handling of cleaning agents.
• Skilled in cleaning rooms, bathrooms, furniture, and floors.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleanliness in all areas of responsibility.
• Operate cleaning equipment including floor machines, vacuums, mops and supplies.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, stairways and restrooms to health standards.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax and polish floors; dust furniture and fixtures.
• Perform special cleaning of walls, lights, windows, and move furniture for setups.
• Provide linen removal, cleaning, and exchange.
• Remove trash and assist with spills.
• Maintain equipment and request repairs when needed.
