Job summary

Amentum is seeking a diligent custodian to maintain cleanliness across assigned areas in Chantilly, VA. You will operate cleaning equipment, perform routine housekeeping tasks, and assist with setup for meetings.

Responsibilities include cleaning rooms and facilities to health standards, handling supplies, and participating in trash removal and spill response. Prior custodial experience is preferred; strong safety awareness is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies, techniques, and the safe handling of cleaning supplies.
• Skilled in cleaning rooms, bathrooms, furniture, equipment; sweep, mop, dust, and arrange room to meet standards.
• Ability to perform semi-skilled maintenance tasks in building and facilities.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleanliness in all areas of responsibility.
• Use cleaning equipment, including floor machines, commercial vacuums, wet mops, large wringers and other necessary equipment.
• Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, stairways, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, and polish floors; dust and polish furniture, woodwork, fixtures, and equipment.
• Perform special cleaning of induction units, walls, lighting fixtures, and windows, inside and outside; move furniture and set up meeting rooms.
• Provide linen removal, cleaning, and exchange.
• Remove trash and assist in cleaning spills; maintain equipment and supplies for cleanliness.
