Job summary

Northwest Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator to proactively solicit new residential mortgage business within an assigned geographic area, building relationships with internal and external referral sources and promoting homeownership.

You will handle loan applications, review credit files, stay current on loan products including FHA/VA/USDA, and work with teams to ensure compliance and timely funding. A strong sales background and knowledge of mortgage guidelines are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years mortgage origination or sales experience.
• High School Diploma required.
• Knowledge of banking industry laws, regulations, and the retail origination process.

Responsibilities

• Solicit new residential mortgage business from internal and external sources.
• Submit complete credit applications with supporting documentation.
• Develop and maintain successful relationships with internal and external referral sources.
• Prospect new mortgage lending opportunities.
• Cross-sell other Northwest products and services to loan applicants.
